Jonathan opens his mouth to reply but instead turns his head slightly and gives a breathy little laugh. He didn't think he'd get more embarrassed than he already was but Morgan made it so easy. "I guess you can say that. It's not my typical scene but you're the exception." Not that he wouldn't help someone with their knocked over books but he likely wouldn't have asked them out for coffee.
He grabs a good portion of Morgan's books, if not all of them, once Morgan confirmed the destination, "Cafe, it is then." Jonathan doesn't move away from the other just yet, tilting his head as if processing Morgan's question.
"I don't see why not. I don't have anything else more exciting than this." Of course, he'd give the other his practical undivided attention while he was able. It's then that he slowly walks backward before turning around to walk down the steps of the lecture hall. He already made a fool of himself already, it would be best not to add falling down class stairs on top of that.
"The exception. You'll surely make me blush with such words," he replies and glances away shyly. Really playing that shy and awkward nerd when he was anything but.
And he can't help but grin when the other takes his books and replies. Ah, yes. If he really wanted to trap the other, he could. He'll just play for now. Instead, he'll loop one of his arms around one of Jonathan's. "Is this alright? This is a date isn't it?" So he can touch the other as he is, right? He looks shyly up at Jonathan.
He wasn't expecting Morgan to loop his arm around his nor looking up at him the way he was, now he feels like he's back at square one again. Being flustered. Heart racing a bit. "Y-yeah, this is fine." He smiles sheepishly.
Jonathan knows that minor hallway gossip is going to erupt the second they leave the room and he doesn't mind. Its not like what anyone says really gets to him,"Yeah... I guess this would count as a date."
He adjusts his hold on Morgan's books as they make their way towards the on campus cafe, "Too be honest, cafes usually aren't my first choice for first dates." He chuckles a bit, "As much as they're relaxing. If you enjoyed by company after, I wouldn't mind taking you out again. Somewhere with more than just coffee and teas."
"No one really asks me out on dates," Morgan replies softly. A flat out lie because he has had plenty interested in him. Not shy, nerdy Morgan, but he has done plenty. Still, Jonathan doesn't know that. "Especially not handsome people."
Jonathan really just doesn't have a chance.
Morgan offers a little grin. "What is your first choice for a first date then?" Now he's curious. The other didn't really strike him as a coffee date kind of guy, but he now wonders what exactly the other does on his dates. "What would you consider a good time?"
